Dear all,
Team Shaolin Competition 2010
Shaolin Culture participated in the 2nd Shaolin Gong fu competition, meeting various students form across the the country and overseas. All Shaolin Culture students demonstrated their skills which they have cultivated over time and were awarded with trophies.

Those competing were, Martin Fahey, Alejandro Vela-Castro, Allan Martin, Dewaine Simpson, Koh, Michael Man, Gio Paris and Jack Edmundson.

Well done to you all for your achievements.

Dear all,

Please be aware that there shall not be any classes on Saturday the 6th of November. This is due to a “Team Shaolin” competition being held in London. Sunday classes and the following Saturday’s classes (13th November) are as normal.

Seni 2010

This years SENI took place at London’s famed Excel building over the weekend of the 29th and 30th of May 2010.

Shaolin Culture students entered into the “London Wu Shu open”, students competing were Sandra Wing Hing, Koh Begum, Paul O’Halloran, Richard Lovell, Alejandro Vela Castro, Jack Edmundson and Shi Heng Ren. There were an array of categories to compete amongst, those of which were, traditional empty handed forms, and weapons forms in the Tai Ji and Shaolin categories.

All students demonstrated their skills proficiently and showed to spectators the manifestations of their time in training, two students walked away with trophies, Alejandro Vela Castro; 1st place Da Hong Quan, Shi Heng Ren; Tai Ji 38 form and Tai Ji Jian 1st and 2nd place.

Today Shaolin Culture entered into the first Team Shaolin Competition held at Swiss Cottage.

Team Shaolin has been created in order to standardise the level of Shaolin Kung Fu that is being taught outside of the Shaolin Temple in China. For more details visit the Team Shaolin website.  The Competition was open to all schools teaching Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu and Chen Style Tai Chi or any individual students thats study these disciplines.
