The Chen Tai Ji Xin Jia course will begin this week starting Wednesday the 30th of March from 7pm until 9pm. The Xin Jia Yi Lu has a different character or flavour compared to the Tai Ji forms which we have taught over the years, there are many small spiraling movements which add an advanced area to the Tai Ji skills. This course will run over 6 weeks and will be a total of 12 hours of training.
For prices please speak with Shi fu Yang, Shi fu Heng Yi or Koh.
Dear all,
A quick update of events at Shaolin Culture, over the past 5 weeks students have been learning spoken Mandarin Chinese with Shifu Yang and Shifu Heng Yi, all students have inherited an array of Chinese words which will be useful on their trip to China this year. Although the level was quite basic all students participating had a keen interest in Chinese culture and had plenty of questions to ask both of the Shifu’s. Sadly this course comes to a close this week. Hopefully the course will re-open before the trip to China in August for you to brush up you words and phrases.
Which moves us swiftly on to the following Wednesday 23rd of March. We shall be holding a two hour taster session for anyone from within the school or outside to come along and have a taste of two skills which shall be taught throughout the coming months. From 7-8pm Eagle Claw taster, you will learn some new postures and movements from the forth coming set Yin Jiao, another exiting new skill from the imitative animal boxing of Shaolin Martial Arts. Then, from 8-9pm, Xin Jia Yi Lu, New Frame 1st Road, a chance to have a taste of the spiraling and twining movements which are found within this beautiful, flowing form.
There will be no charge for this evening, however there will be a non-obligatory donation fee which shall be placed into the Shaolin Culture Charity Fund, (all students are more than welcome to monitor the fund, seeing how it will aid others in all walks of life), the donation fee can be of any amount of your choosing, making your donation discretely.
At the end of the evening Chinese Tea will be available for those wishing to top up on their antioxidants, and cleanse their palates…
The following Wednesday the 30th of March the Xin Jia course will commence, and will continue to run for 6 weeks from 7pm – 9pm (12 hours total). Those unsure of participating on this course are more than welcome to try our taster evening on Wednesday the 23rd from 8-9pm. We hope to see you there and continue to grow in you Tai Ji knowledge.
All of the above events shall take place at the Bromley, United Reformed Church, behind Primark, where parking is available.
We hope to see you all there…
Blessings
