On Saturday the 18th of September, Shaolin Culture will be holding our second Moon Festival gathering, all are welcome including your families and friends.
There will be a host of events including Sky Lanterns, demonstrations, food with many other activities and most importantly many students and friends of the school, this will be an excellent time for you all to socilaise and speak to one another outside of class times.

Shaolin Culture will be running a 9 week course teaching Lao Jia Er Lu, Pao Chui (Cannon Fist).
The course will run from Wednesday the 13th of October until the 8th of December, from 7pm until 9pm.

Shaolin Culture will be hosting 5 week self defence course teaching, Qin Na joint locking, Shuai Jiao, San Shou and many other aspects helping you to attaina fuller understanding of Tai Ji and Gong Fu.

As of August 1st 2010, Shaolin Temple, Henan, China has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, meaning that it will be protected and preserved in history. Shaolin Temple joins a long list of other protected sites throughout the world. Congratulation to Venerable Abbott of Shaolin Si, Shi Yong Xin, for his tireless efforts to spread the Shaolin Culture to the world.

On the 6th June Shifu Heng Yi taught Shaolin Culture students Qi Xing Quan (Seven Stars Fist) form.
The students had the unique opportunity to learn the form in its entirety. The students also were shownsome of the form’s fighting applications which were taught and guided by Shifu Yang and Shifu Heng Yi.
We would like to thank all the students for taking this one off opportunity to attend this workshop and hoped they enjoyed learning this traditional Shaolin Kung Fu form.

This years SENI took place at London’s famed Excel building over the weekend of the 29th and 30th of May 2010.
Shaolin Culture students entered into the “London Wu Shu open”, students competing were Sandra Wing Hing, Koh Begum, Paul O’Halloran, Richard Lovell, Alejandro Vela Castro, Jack Edmundson and Shi Heng Ren. There were an array of categories to compete amongst, those of which were, traditional empty handed forms, and weapons forms in the Tai Ji and Shaolin categories.
All students demonstrated their skills proficiently and showed to spectators the manifestations of their time in training, two students walked away with trophies, Alejandro Vela Castro; 1st place Da Hong Quan, Shi Heng Ren; Tai Ji 38 form and Tai Ji Jian 1st and 2nd place.

This evening (Thursday 3rd June) T.E.A.M Shaolin fronted by Shi Yan Wu will be performing live in efforts to further spread the Shaolin Martial Culture.

Dear all,
Shaolin Culture shall be running courses throughout this year, we shall be beggining with Chen Style Tai Ji Jian (Straight Sword). This course shall last 5 weeks, beggining this coming Wednesday the 19th of May 2010, each lesson must be attended every Wednesday until the courses’ end on June 16 2010, in all students will have 10 hours to learn this treasured art form. Students should have a basic understanding of Tai Ji, however complete begginers are always welcomed.
The course times are from 7pm until 9pm every Wednesday evening (starting the 19th May).
